Riti Punjabi Boutique began as a single rail of suits brought over from Ludhiana. Today we carry two Bakersfield showrooms — one for women at Valley Plaza Mall, one for men on N Chester Avenue — and we still choose every piece by hand.
What hasn’t changed is the tailoring. Every lehenga, sharara and salwar suit is fitted in store by our own team, because embroidery this heavy has to hang exactly right. It is the part of the job that cannot be shipped, and the reason customers come back for a second wedding, and a third.
We travel to Punjab each season and buy directly from the workshops. No middlemen, no wholesale catalogues — just pieces we would be happy to wear ourselves, chosen for the families we already know.
